This Privacy Policy explains how Sip ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and SMS hydration-reminder service (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account info: your name (or display name) and email address.
- Phone number: the mobile number you provide to receive SMS reminders.
- Hydration data: water-intake amounts you log via the app or by replying to our texts, and your daily goal.
- Consent records: the timestamp, version, and text of the SMS consent you accepted.
- Technical data: basic logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To send you the hydration reminder texts you opted in to.
- To record and display your hydration progress and streaks.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
SMS messaging and opt-in data
Mobile information and SMS opt-in data will never be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Your phone number and SMS consent record are used solely to operate the Sip reminder service.
We share your phone number only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages you requested, and as required by law.
Stopping messages
Reply STOP to any Sip text to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies based on your daily goal; message and data rates may apply.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data — name, phone, email, water logs, and consent records — at any time by emailing sipwaterapp@gmail.com. We will complete deletion within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
